You can restore a HICSOAP database from a backup. Depending on how the the backup was made the approach to restoring it is different.
.HDE or .HIB - backup files with these extensions are made by the HICSOAP program. For example, by default, HICSOAP makes automatic backups in c:\hicsoappro\backup. To restore from these backups, get HICSOAP up and running with a blank, empty database and then MAIN MENU -> DATABASE -> RESTORE. The restore process erases/overwrites the current database - that is why I recommend getting HICSOAP working with a blank database first.
.HDF - The database used directly by HICSOAP ends in "hdf". If you have a copy of such a database like one made by a separate backup program then you should get HICSOAP up and running with a blank, empty database and then simply replace the empty database with the database backup.
