Unable to save preop data

After filling out patient data on the preop screen and clicking IOL CALC button at bottom right, HICSOAP should save the data that you have entered. If it can't then you get this error message, i.e. "Unable to save preop data". In this case, I recommend following the general troubleshooting steps. The most likely cause is database corruption or file/network permissions on the database file. So the most important things to do are

  • Update to the latest version.
  • Do a database repair. MAIN MENU -> DATABASE -> REPAIR
  • Check the file/network permissions on the database file.

If that doesn't help then you could restore data from a backup or try using a blank/empty database in place of your actual database to test out the setup.
