Use old Data

Situation: HICSOAP is installed and working but it doesn't have your data and you have a backup of your old data. The backup could have been created by STANDARD or by PROFESSIONAL or DELUXE.

This is how you use your data.

  1. Verify that HICSOAP is installed, working with a blank/empty database, and using the latest version. For help, consult INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS and UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS.
  2. Copy the backup file to your DESKTOP. For inexplicable reasons, there are sometimes problems when restoring from a backup file on a network drive or USB flash drive.
  3. Start HICSOAP, and then click MAIN MENU -> RESTORE. Then choose the backup file that you have selected in step #1.
