Doesn't Stick

After entering the UNLOCK code, it should permanently unlock the installation. However, in some cases you may be prompted for the unlock code every time you start the program.

The unlock code is uniquely paired with a registration number. So the first thing to do is to verify that the registration number presented by HICSOAP is the same registration number that you sent when you requested an unlock code.

One possible cause is not following the explicit instruction in the Installation Instructions to run as administrator. Pleased read "Installation requires ADMINISTRATOR Rights" in Installation Instructions. For Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10, UAC should automatically elevate you to have administrative rights. However, it's possible that that doesn't happen. One way it could not work correctly is if UAC prompting is turned off.

If you are using Windows Vista, 7, 8, or 10 try this,

  1. Close the program
  2. Right click the program icon and select "run as administrator”
  3. On the Registration Screen enter your registration info and unlock key. Then press OK and NOT "Try Pro" or "Try Deluxe"
  4. After getting all the way into the program, close it.
  5. Now start it like normal.

Another possible cause of HICSOAP requiring your entering the unlock key every time you run the program or every day is aggressive security software. For security reasons, it is possible to overwrite and replace the windows registry on a regular basis. Since the unlock key is stored in the registry, if the the registry is replaced then the entering of the unlock key is effectively undone. This is a fairly unusual situation and not at all common.
