Software Expires

Our software never expires. If you are licensed to use a particular release then you can use it forever.

What leads some customers to believe their software has expired, though, is the installation of an update for which they aren't licensed. For example, if you have the 2016.0501 release installed and your software subscription expires May 15, 2016 then you aren't licensed for the 2016.0601 release. And if you install that update then the software will complain and not let you use it. If this situtation arises then your options are to buy support which will license you to run the newer version or to continue to run the older version.

It's possible, though, that the software is not aware of when your software support subscription expires. That is you are licensed to use the new version that you just installed but the "computer" doesn't agree. In that case, read this.
