Check Button does not work

This update button at the bottom of the MAIN MENU will not work for several versions of our program. The solution to updating the software is to simply download and install the lastest release - which is detailed in the Update instructions.

Some customers have suggested that this stopped working because of the recent (January 1, 2015) change to a support subscription to get updates. This is not the case in a direct sense. That is, the button did not stop working because we intentionally broke it because the customer hasn't paid for support. What is true is that changes on the back end of our support and customer tracking systems made it impossible to keep that button working due to its use of old, outdated, insecure software that we couldn't continue to support in our new backend system.
